About the Project

This project was a collaboration with 12 other artists (fine arts and performing arts) on a rendition of popular Bengali folk song, Ekla Cholo Re.  

The Making

What was intended to be shot in a documentary style, ended up being an array of online interviews with the select artists, because of the COVID-19 pandemic. I spoke to each artist individually, and asked them certain questions for them to respond only using their artform. For this, artists spent hours discussing these question prompts with me, and even more hours alone with their art forms.

Once I was sent all the footage, I collated it, and that's how Ekla came to being.
