About the Project
Ghar Le Chalo is a COVID brainchild. I wrote and composed this song during my Class 12th board exams. Right after that the pandemic hit and I was confined to my father's house in the NTPC Auraiya Township. There, with my brother's help, I was able to get this song arranged and produced which ended up being my debut-single. The song talks about longing for a home that doesn't exist.
The music video has two parts: an animated part, and a live-action part.
The animation and edit was done online.
The live action part was shot right after the first-wave, when things started appearing to be going back to "normal". We shot this with a very compact team comprising of a DOP, an HMU artist and my brother who also took up the role of a master assistant on set.
The decision for this MV to have an animated and a live-action part was made because of not just logistic reasons, but also to support the narrative of going from a place of being stuck and having no control, to a place of clarity.
