About the Project
This is a one-shot video cover of the song Gulabi from the film Shuddh Desi Romance. All one sees in this film is two pairs of ghungroo-laden feet that dance across and tell a story through their movements across the Symbiosis, Viman Nagar Campus. The film uses a very upbeat and peppy edit style to add to the fun and frolic.
The Making
The point at which we shot this, the lifts (elevators) in our building were notorious for being extremely slow leading to multiple people being late or even missing classes and tests. Everyone was talking about it. Hence, we decided to take a dig at it in a harmlessly fun way, in a graded assignment.
This project was shot only using a hand-held android phone, and was quite a masterclass in crowd-control on set.
